A little bit of history
Miriam Haskell (1899–1981) was one of the most influential figures in 20th-century American costume jewellery. Founded in New York in the 1920s, the House became renowned for its richly hand-assembled creations, combining baroque pearls, glass beads, crystals and pâte de verre with exceptional craftsmanship.

Rejecting mass production, Miriam Haskell favoured intricate, often asymmetrical designs inspired by nature, the baroque and Hollywood glamour. Her jewels were worn by leading style icons including Joan Crawford, Gloria Swanson and Wallis Simpson.

Today, Miriam Haskell jewellery is highly sought after by collectors, celebrated for its artisanal quality, timeless elegance and historical importance in the evolution of couture jewellery.

According to fashion and costume jewellery expert Deanna Farneti Cera, Miriam Haskell was one of the most talented costume jewellery designers, elevating costume jewelry craftsmanship to the level of art.
