Founded in 1919 in Romans-sur-Isère, France, Charles Jourdan became internationally renowned for its luxurious footwear and refined leather goods. The brand reached iconic status during the 1960s and 1970s through its collaboration with Dior and its legendary advertising campaigns photographed by Guy Bourdin, which helped define the sensual and avant-garde image of French fashion at the time.

Fondée en 1919 à Romans-sur-Isère, en France, la maison Charles Jourdan s'est imposée à l'international grâce à ses chaussures de luxe et ses accessoires de maroquinerie raffinés. La marque atteint son apogée dans les années 1960 et 1970, notamment grâce à sa collaboration avec Dior ainsi qu'à ses célèbres campagnes publicitaires photographiées par Guy Bourdin, qui contribuèrent à définir l'image sensuelle et avant-gardiste de la mode française de l'époque.
